What needs have you identified among your potential customers and are you trying to meet?
- We have identified a strong loyalty among gardeners to the traditional varieties they have been buying for years. Even when more resistant and robust varieties exist, it remains difficult to change these purchasing habits. Gardeners naturally gravitate towards the variety they already know, without necessarily being informed about higher-performing alternatives. We have also observed a lack of simple and visual indicators on the shelves to encourage this shift. Super Resilient was designed to support this change. It helps stores naturally guide gardeners towards more resistant varieties, without complicating the selection process. Our goal is to help garden centers evolve purchasing habits by highlighting more reliable solutions, adapted to the current challenges of gardening.
How big do you estimate your market to be?
- Our solution is designed for all retailers with a garden center section who sell seed potatoes. In France, this represents more than 1,500 points of sale, including specialized garden centers, integrated chains, and stores with a dedicated vegetable garden area. The system is adaptable to any type of retail outlet offering vegetable seedlings.
What is your recommended retail price?
- The Super Resilient variety is not intended for sale to end consumers. It is provided free of charge to retailers, provided they purchase seed potatoes from our company. This initiative is part of a commercial partnership designed to support retailers in promoting their potato product range and guiding gardeners towards more resistant varieties.
