2024-2025 GARDEN COLLECTIONS AWARDS COMPETITION RULES
ARTICLE 1 – ORGANISER
The company Editions Techniques pour l’Automobile et l’Industrie (hereafter “ETAI” or “the Organiser”), a simplified stock company (“société par actions simplifiée”) with share capital of 57.029.328 euros, with registered offices at 20 rue des Aqueducs 94250 GENTILLY – France, registered in the CRETEIL Trade and Companies Register under the number 806 420 360, the organiser of JdC Garden Trends – Journées des Collections Jardin 2025, to be held from 25 to 27 March 2025 at Parc Chanot, Marseille (hereafter “the Exhibition”), is organising, from 18 December 2024 to 16 February 2025, a competition subject to entry fees entitled “Prix des Collections Jardin – Garden Collections Awards 2025-2026”, hereafter “the Competition”.
ARTICLE 2 – PURPOSE OF THE COMPETITION
The aim of the Competition is to reward products presented by suppliers and manufacturers that are exhibitors or co-exhibitors at the Exhibition.
Products will be designated winners:
- By a judging panel of retailers in 5 categories: Self-produced garden, Responsible & smart gardening, Outdoor cooking, Authentic & practical, and Indoor/outdoor garden decoration & furniture.
- Through a vote by buyers in attendance at the Exhibition for the Buyers’ Awards.
The Competition is only open to exhibitors and/or co-exhibitors of the Exhibition, suppliers and manufacturers of garden sector products.
A product can be entered by an Exhibitor when they book their stand or at a later date during the entry period.
An entry fee applies to entries for “Prix des Collections Jardin” (Garden Collections Awards).
ARTICLE 3 – AWARD CATEGORIES
Subject to a sufficient number of entries, the Organiser shall make 24 Awards:
- 4 in each of the 5 Garden categories
- 4 awards in the Buyers’ Awards category
Entering one of the 5 categories automatically entails the product being entered for the Buyers’ Awards.
Self-produced garden category:
Awards presented by a panel of decision-makers and experts selected by the retail brand GAMM VERT to products that meet the needs of consumers who wish to produce themselves, which the entrants must justify in their entry:
- The most innovative product
- The most simplifying product
- The most responsible product
- The Jury's favourite product
Responsible & smart gardening category:
Awards presented by a panel of decision-makers and experts selected by the retail brand U ENSEIGNE to products that give the widest possible audience access to the pleasures of gardening whilst using simple and environmentally friendly products, which the entrants must justify in their entry:
- The most innovative product
- The most simplifying product
- The most adventageous product
- The Jury's favourite product
Outdoor cooking category:
Awards presented by a panel of decision-makers and experts selected by the retail brand ADEO to products that are made to cook outdoor, which the entrants must justify in their entry:
- The most design product
- The most innovative product
- The most responsible product
- The Jury's favourite product
Indoor/outdoor garden decoration furniture category:
Awards presented by a panel of decision-makers and experts selected by the retail brand J’DEA to products that meet the needs of consumers to decorate their garden and/or ensure their comfort and well-being in terms of furniture, which the entrants must justify in their entry:
- The most durable product
- The most eco-designed product
- The most autonomous product
- The Jury's favourite product
Authentic and practical category:
Awards presented by a panel of decision-makers and experts selected by the retail brand INEDIS to products that are combining authenticity, practicality, excellence and innovation, which the entrants must justify in their entry:
- The most authentic product
- The most practical product
- The most representative product of national expertise
- The Jury's favourite product
Buyers’ Awards:
Designated following a vote by “buyers” visitors attending the Exhibition through a dedicated application from among all the products entered in one of the 4 above mentioned categories as well as products not falling within any of the 4 categories:
- The most stylish product
- The most simplifying product
- The most innovative product
- The Jury's favourite product
ARTICLE 4 – ENTRIES
To enter the Competition, the entrant must:
- Be an exhibitor at JdC Garden Trends – Journées des Collections Jardin 2025 and enter a product falling within the categories set out in article 2 according to the conditions set out in article 2 above;
- Pay the entry fees for each entry according to the following scale with discount for multiple entries:€700 excl. VAT for the entry of the first product and €400 excl. VAT for the second and subsequent products.
The entry fee shall be paid at the time that the exhibitor applies for their stand (application request) or at a later date via an order form and an additional invoice.
If the exhibitor does not pay their entry fees full when registration closes, the entry shall not be presented to the judges.
- Complete one application form for each product presented. Applications will be accessible online in the Exhibitor Area once the applicant's registration has been finalised. The applicant must complete the application form in full (including attachments) and validate it online by 10 February 2025 at the latest. Any application submitted after the deadline indicated and/or for which the registration fee has not been paid and/or any incomplete application will be rejected.
- Supply two (2) samples of each product entered: one for the space dedicated to Prix des Collections Jardin – Garden Collections Awards at the Exhibition and one for the purposes of a private demonstration before the judges. The Organiser declines all responsibility for the loss or destruction of samples sent. No prototypes may be sent.
An entrant may enter several products, and a product may be entered in several categories. The entry fees must be paid for each product entered according to the prices indicated above.
The Organiser reserves the right to remove or merge several categories depending on the number of entries received and their quality.
ARTICLE 5 – DESIGNATION OF WINNERS
5.1 AWARDS
Members of judging panels
For each of the 5 Garden categories, a judging panel of decision-makers and experts will be formed by a partner retail brand:
- Self-produced Garden: GAMM VERT retail brand panel
- Responsible smart gardening: U ENSEIGNE retail brand panel
- Outdoor cooking: ADEO retail brand panel
- Indoor/outdoor garden decoration & furniture: J’DEA retail brand panel
- Authentic and practical: INEDIS retail brand panel
Shortlisting
The Organiser shall examine all entries received to verify that they are complete and have arrived before the entry deadline.
It will then send each retail brand panel the files corresponding to its category.
On the basis of the appropriateness of the product to the category, the pertinence of answers to the questions in the file and the sales potential of the product, each panel shall shortlist a maximum of 10 products per award.
Entrants are prohibited from making direct contact with the judging panels.
Judging panel meeting
The shortlisted exhibitors will be notified at least seven days before the date of the Exhibition so that they can make themselves available for the presentation/demonstration of the product to the judging panel of the category, on the venue of the Exhibition, in the morning before it opens, i.e. 25 March 2025 from 9am.
Each judging panel votes to designate a winner of each Award in its category
Each panel reserves the right to not award a prize, to designate joint winners or to create new awards.
Members of the judging panel may not take part in voting for an award where their brand (versions and trademarks) has direct or indirect involvement in the product presented.
The deliberations and votes of each judging panel are confidential, and their decisions are sovereign; judging panels are under no obligation to justify their choices.
Announcement of Winners
An awards ceremony will be organised for each category during the Exhibition, from 25 to 27 March 2025. The day and time of each ceremony will be specified one month before the beginning of the Exhibition, in the programme and the official catalogue displayed on the website.
The list of the winners, description of winning products will be announced on the Exhibition website www.jdcgardentrends.com and published in a post-exhibition issue of the magazine LSA containing a special feature reporting on JdC Garden Trends 2025.
In addition, a press release contains a list of prize winners and their products will be sent to the Organiser’s media partners, in particular to the media specialised in the garden sector.
5.2 BUYERS’ AWARDS
The products entered in the Buyers’ Awards will be put to the vote of “purchasing decision maker” visitors at the Exhibition who will designate their favourite products in the following sub-categories:
- The most stylish product
- The most simplifying product
- The most innovative product
- The Jury's favourite product
The buyers' vote will begin on 25 March 2025 and end on 27 March 2025.
During this period, the presentation forms of entrants will be displayed online on the website www.jdcgardentrends.com.
Purchasing decision-making visitors will be notified that voting is open by means of an e-mail sent to the address that they provided to obtain their exhibition pass.
To vote, visitors will have to make their choice during the voting period by selecting a product for each sub-category from one of the hostesses, who will record their vote on a tablet.
The winner of each trophy will be the product with the highest number of votes.
The results will be announced to the winners by email within 8 days of the end of voting. Participants in the show (exhibitors, visitors, press) and the Organiser's press partners will also be informed by email in the following month.
ARTICLE 6 - ENTRANTS’ UNDERTAKINGS
The entrant:
a) certifies and guarantees that they are the holder and/or that they have obtained the permission of the holders of all intellectual or industrial property rights (among which: patents, trademarks, designs, photos, copyright, films, etc, including where relevant any contractors involved in the production of the product entered) relating to the Products entered and to all items of the entry,
b) authorises the Organiser to:
- reproduce and represent these items at the Awards ceremony, in the printed and online publications of the Infopro Digital Group and in particular on the website www.jdcgardentrends.com and in all other media, including those of partners, in any form, that may relate to the Prix des Collections Jardin – Garden Collections Awards 2025-2026 and in particular the promotional documents of the following editions;
- transmit the items of the entry file to the judging panels.
c) explicitly declares that they consent, free of charge, to the taking of photographs and filming of footage representing them (and/or their employees) as part of their participation in the Exhibition and the awards ceremonies held from 25 to 27 March 2025, at Parc Chanot, Marseille and to the reproduction and representation of all or part of these images representing them on the Exhibition website (incorporation into the archives of the Exhibition website and of media websites, in particular LSA), in communications via partner media (print press and Internet) and in the Organiser’s commercial presentations for the following editions of the Exhibition.
These authorisations apply without any obligation of any kind on the part of the Organiser; consequently, the entrant holds the Organiser harmless from and against any recourse relating to the abovementioned.
ARTICLE 7 - USE OF “PRIX DES COLLECTIONS JARDIN – GARDEN COLLECTIONS AWARDS 2025-2026" LOGO BY THE WINNERS
The winners are permitted to use the logo corresponding to their award and category with the competition year on their commercial communications material (excluding advertisements). In this regard, they undertake to comply with the brand guidelines communicated to them by the Organiser, and, in particular, to always mention the year 2025-2026 of their award. The logo may only be used up until the following edition of the Prix des Collections Jardin – Garden Collections Awards.
ARTICLE 8 – PERSONAL DATA
Entrants’ personal data collected above by the Organiser is electronically processed as part of the organisation of the Competition. Our company needs it to process the entries of participants in the Competition and it is recorded in the Organiser’s files. The Organiser, or any other company in the Infopro Digital Group, may contact entrants to offer them the chance to participate in professional events and/or in connection with products or services linked with their business activity.
All entrants have the right to access, amend and object to the processing of their data and may exercise these rights in writing by sending their request to the following address: ETAI – Journées des Collections Jardin “Prix des Collections Jardin”, 20 rue des Aqueducs 94250 GENTILLY – France.

ARTICLE 9 – MISCELLANEOUS
9.1 Any entry for which payment has not been made, or which includes discrepancies, is incomplete or has not been submitted by the participants within the deadline shall be considered null and void and shall not be taken into consideration for the Competition.
9.2 The Organiser reserves the right, in particular in the event of force majeure, to curtail, extend, suspend, modify or cancel the Competition.
9.3 The Organiser shall not be held liable in the event of whole or part malfunctions of the services of the French Post Office or of the Internet which are beyond its control and which might prevent the organisation of the Competition or the total or part destruction of entries or any other fortuitous event.
9.4 Competition entries and samples will not be returned unless the entrant specifically requests otherwise. In this event, postal and packing fees will be charged to the entrant.
9.5 Entering a product in any of the categories of Prix des Collections Jardin – Garden Collections Awards entails the unreserved acceptance by entrants of these rules and of the decisions taken by the judging panels.
ARTICLE 10 – DISPUTES
These Competition rules are solely subject to French law and in their French language version.
The Organiser will make sovereign rulings regarding any difficulty that may arise from the interpretation and/or the application of these rules.
